Unalchemizable Items are items which do not have a Grist cost and thus, can't be obtained through Edit Mode or Alchemy. These items don't have a grist cost due to a variety of reasons such as them not having a crafting recipe, being unobtainable through survival mode, balancing the game or any other unspecified reason. This does not necessarily include all items that are unobtainable in Survival Mode; some unobtainable items, such as Infested Cobblestone, do have a Grist cost. There are over 456 unalchemizable items as of version 1.12.1.0, excluding any items or grist cost changes from any external mod.

Special Cases[]
- Items like potions, filled maps and written books can't be alchemized due to their high influence from NBT tags, as they will not be stored when punching a card using the Punch Designix, making it unnecessary to alchemize. An exception of this are Enchanted Books, as they're required for alchemizing Bottles o' Enchanting.
- SBURB machines are quite different from any other item in this list, as they do have a grist cost and can be placed down in edit mode, but due to them not being obtainable without it, they do not have a grist cost outside of edit mode.
- Cruxite Dowels where made unalchemizable due to them being already free through the Cruxtruder.
